I can not believe this year is almost over! November 1st is here and did you know that we only have 8 Saturdays before Christmas! I love the fall but I really love Christmas time too!
November is a great month to reflect on what we are thankful for. I am thinking I may talk about what I am thankful for quite often this November!
Today, I am thankful for God healing my body! I am thankful for a great diagnosis! I am thankful that I heard the words that the cancer cells were gone! I continue to pray that this cancer does not come back and there were no cells somewhere else that we did not know about that the chemo did not take care of! Please continue praying with me that I never hear the words that the cancer is back. You will probably see me ask for that prayer request often. One of my doctors told me as time passes, so will the worry of it coming back.
This is Dr. G my surgical oncologist. I can’t even begin telling you how sweet this lady is. She is the one who called me 2 weeks and 1 day ago to tell me the cancer was gone and then I had a follow-up appointment with her last Thursday. This is us with my pathology report! You never know, I may end up finding a place to hang a copy of this awesome news:)! There will definitely be a copy of this in my scrapbook of this journey!
Even though cancer was never on my “TO DO” list for this year it is one of those things that popped up and messed up my “To Do list” just a little. You know what though, God knew that was going to take priority over my to-do list a very long time ago. Can y’all believe it has been 3 weeks since my surgery and almost 7 months since my diagnosis!
I would love to hear about what you are thankful for today!
Don’t forget I have a scripture card give way going on through today! You can go read all about it here and leave a comment on that post to enter the drawing.
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1 (ESV)
