4 Lymph Nodes

  • That this UGLY tumor is completely gone when we go in for surgery next week and there is no other cancer anywhere in my body!
  • That I stay healthy over the next week so that surgery goes as scheduled!
  • That ALL pathology after surgery shows I am cancer free!!
  • That I do not have any side effects from the anesthesia after my surgery!

This is the face of a mama that received good news yesterday!

Wednesday, when I went in for my lymph node biopsy they removed four lymph nodes.  Yesterday, six months from the day I was diagnosed, I received a call from Dr. G., my surgical oncologist.  I thought she was calling to see how I was doing from the surgery to remove those four lymph nodes the day before to have them biopsied.  Guess what, she was actually calling to tell me that those four lymph nodes all came back CLEAR!!!  No sign of cancer in the lymph nodes.

Thank you so much for all the prayers!!  The prayers are working so please do not stop praying!

I felt well enough yesterday to work and as you can tell from the picture above I am sitting in my office again this morning.  I just wanted to take a few minutes to update those that read my blog.  I am thankful that I can work from home. Today I am trying to finish closing the month and then Monday I can finish up all the little things that have to be done before a doctors appointment  and surgery next week.

Next week is my double mastectomy.  Please pray that all the pathology comes back with good results and that there is no sign of cancer left in my body!

Ladies, here is your reminder, if you need to schedule a mammogram, stop what you are doing and call now and get it on your calendar!  Don’t wait!!

Hope you all have an awesome Friday and a terrific weekend!

Thank you for walking this journey with us!

Psalm 66

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
    Sing the glory of his name;
    make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
    So great is your power
    that your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth bows down to you;
    they sing praise to you,
    they sing the praises of your name.”

Come and see what God has done,
    his awesome deeds for mankind!
He turned the sea into dry land,
    they passed through the waters on foot—
    come, let us rejoice in him.
He rules forever by his power,
    his eyes watch the nations—
    let not the rebellious rise up against him.

Praise our God, all peoples,
    let the sound of his praise be heard;
he has preserved our lives
    and kept our feet from slipping.
10 For you, God, tested us;
    you refined us like silver.
11 You brought us into prison
    and laid burdens on our backs.
12 You let people ride over our heads;
    we went through fire and water,
    but you brought us to a place of abundance.

13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
    and fulfill my vows to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
    when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
    and an offering of rams;
    I will offer bulls and goats.

16 Come and hear, all you who fear God;
    let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
    his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
    the Lord would not have listened;
19 but God has surely listened
    and has heard my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
    who has not rejected my prayer
    or withheld his love from me!
